Our Expertise

Water laboratory at ADC

Reliable water analysis, expert advice and quality control – for all those who take safe water use seriously

Our Waterlab tests water across Curaçao every day, on behalf of the government and on request from organisations and private clients.
We look at both the physical and chemical side and the microbiological side of water, so the result actually answers the question you brought us.

What We Do

From well to tap: complete analysis of water quality

We test accurately for physicochemical and microbiological parameters in drinking, process, surface and wastewater. We also perform specialized analyses for dialysis water, swimming pool water, ice and other applications

Examples

  • Microbiological: coliforms (including E. coli), Enterococci, Legionella pneumophila, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Clostridium perfringes
  • Chemical: pH, conductivity, sulfate, chloride, fluoride, metals (such as lead, iron, copper, zinc), hardness, and total alkalinity. Physical: color, turbidity, and temperature.
  •

Quality & expertise

Our analyses are performed according to validated methods (such as NEN-EN-ISO standards) by experienced analysts. We provide insight into compliance with standards and support interpretation, (re)sampling, and follow-up actions.

We have modern equipment, strictly controlled processes, and documented procedures. Our services comply with legal requirements as laid down in the National Drinking Water Ordinance PB 2006 no. 37.

Advice and support

Our specialists provide advice on measurement results, water safety, re-checking and sampling. We also provide support in the event of outbreaks (e.g. Legionella), complaint investigation and enforcement of hygiene regulations in healthcare institutions or companies.
